One woman lost her home on Mother's Day after a fire ripped through it Sunday afternoon.
It happened in the 7000 block of Glen Briar on the city's northeast side.
When crews got to the scene, there was a concern that there may have been someone trapped inside.
However, the one woman who lived there wasn't home at the time.
The homeowner said one of her fellow church members had called her while she was at the store to tell her there was smoke coming from her house, but when she rushed back home, it had already spread.
Firefighters were also concerned that the fire would spread to the surrounding houses, but they were able to contain it to the one home.
Crews on the scene said it was not clear what started the fire, but the fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate.
