SAN ANTONIO -

A woman is safe after she claims she was tied up and kidnapped from her home in  Southwest Bexar County Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said the kidnapper abducted the woman because she refused to go run an errand with him.

“He wanted her to drive him some place where he could sell some items. She refused to [and] he bound her up put her in her truck and drove off with her," said Bexar County Lieutenant Philip Dreyer.

The victim was taken to a home in LaCoste. According to authorities, she escaped after the kidnapper became distracted. The suspect was not identified and the Bexar County Sheriff's Department was working to issue a warrant for the suspect.
