SAN ANTONIO -

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has identified two women killed in separate crashes over the weekend.

The first crash occurred Saturday afternoon on FM 471, just west of Talley Road in northwest Bexar County.

Sheriff's deputies said 62-year-old Gladine Sayers was driving a 2004 Ford SUV east on 471 when she headed towards a curve, veered across the lanes for an unknown reason and rolled over.

Sayers' SUV rolled over several times and crashed into a telephone pole. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another fatal crash occurred early Sunday morning at Grissom and Old Grissom roads. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Veronica Perez.

According to police, Perez was speeding east on Grissom in a truck when she lost control of the vehicle going around a curve.

Police said Perez crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck a Ford Excursion head-on.

Perez was pronounced dead at the scene and two people inside the Excursion were transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
