A convicted thief is facing yet another theft charge after a woman accused her of stealing jewelry from her home.
Deborah Carrion, 54, was arrested Saturday in connection with the case, which dates back to August.
An arrest warrant affidavit states that a 41-year-old woman filed a police report Aug. 30 saying that some of her jewelry—about $900 worth-- was missing, and she suspected Carrion was to blame.
The woman told investigators Carrion was part of a crew working in her home and had used her bathroom while she was there, the affidavit stated
During their investigation, detectives found one of the stolen items at a pawn shop and returned it to the victim, the affidavit stated.
Because Carrion has two prior theft convictions, she now faces an enhanced theft charge.
