On March 28, 2000, two tornadoes ripped through Tarrant County -- one went right through downtown Fort Worth. John was there to guide viewers through the storms.

During his time at KTVT in Ft. Worth, John filled in for Craig Allen on "CBS This Morning" and portions of his weathercasts appeared on "The CBS Evening News with Dan Rather."

John was born and raised in New England. While in high school he was a volunteer firefighter. During his summer breaks from college he worked as a correctional officer in a county jail. John also interned with the National Weather Service. While there he conducted research on severe weather -- the results of which are used by National Weather Service personnel today. He holds a Bachelor's of Science in meteorology from Florida State University and he has the American Meteorological Society's Television Seal of Approval.

In his spare time John loves to head for the mountains to ski. He also enjoys golf, is an avid ice hockey player and is the proud father of two children.

You can e-mail John at jhonore@ksat.com.
