San Antonio couple loses 73 pounds with life-changing program

SAN ANTONIO – Not long ago, Sandy and Michael Keaton said they were both struggling to keep up with their family and stay ahead of health problems.

“I was borderline diabetic,” Michael said. “My waking blood sugar was 300 every morning.”

Michael said doctors put him on medication that he needed to take after every meal. He said that's when he knew he had to make a change.

He said he and his wife went to Nutrimost San Antonio to not just lose weight, but to start living a healthier life.

“We see people getting off medications,” Dr. Rob Vasquez, founder of Nutrimost San Antonio, said. “People with different health challenges don’t have those health challenges anymore. And the program, it works.”

Vasquez said Nutrimost developed a personalized plan for the Keatons that uses technology, support and education.

The Keatons said their results have been dramatic. Sandy reports a weight loss of 35 pounds, dropping to a size 8 from a size 14. And Michael said he dropped 43 pounds, going from a pant size of 42 to 34.

“I feel great! I can keep up with three grandchildren,” Sandy said. “We can play soccer, we can play basketball, we can do it all!”

“I don’t remember ever having this much energy," Michael said. "I haven’t worn a size 36 since high school.”
