SAN ANTONIO – A local dentist's office is offering patients the chance to turn their candy into cash.
The staff at Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry are holding a Halloween Candy Buyback program, where they're offering $1 for every pound of candy brought in to their office.
The program takes place November 1-3 from 3-6 p.m.
Their address is 8700 Crownhill Boulevard, Suite 210.
One patient can receive up to $5.
"We give the candy overseas to Operation Gratitude," said Dr. Diane Lee, Board Eligible Pediatric Dentist at Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry. "Military troops that are deployed will receive the candy that we give them."
Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry is a team of pediatric dental specialists who care for children's dental needs, including orthodontics.
They recommend that children be checked by an orthodontist by age 7.
"It's really a time where you have a window of opportunity before they get into a later stage of growth and certain things have happened that are harder to correct," said Dr. Lori Fulk, Board Certified Orthodontist at Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry.
