Travel Tips

Lots of families will be hitting the road for holidays this summer! Whether you are in the car for a short trip or a long haul, here are some tips to get through it a little more easily.

Packing tips:

  • Use Ziploc bags to pack each day's outfits for your kids. That way, you can just grab a bag if you're stopping in for a night (not a whole suitcase) and once you've arrived, it's faster to get everybody dressed and out in the morning.
  • Use Ziploc bags to pre-package activities in the car.

You can use a Ipad holder that slip over the headrest in the car.

Cookie sheet activity tray. You can use it as a little desk or put magnetic tape on puzzle pieces for a different activity. Also, laminate colorful pieces of paper, cut out shapes and put magnetic tape for another fun activity.

Behavior clips: Make these out of clothespins. Put each kid's initial on it and clip it to the front seat. If there is a problem, one comes down and that kid misses the next incentive or treat.
