An American Hockey League game was postponed on Sunday in Springfield, Mass., after Springfield Falcons winger Wade McLeod had a seizure on the ice after being hit.
The team reported that McLeod, 26, was stable and alert after being taken to a hospital. His parents and girlfriend traveled with him to the hospital, TSN reported.
The incident occurred during the second period of a game against the Adirondack Phantoms, and the teams agreed to halt play and postpone the game.
The Falcons are an AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
