The Jets are circling backup Saints running back Chris Ivory in hopes of bargaining for the restricted free agent, sources confirmed today. Ivory, a 6-foot, 222-pound power back struggling to find playing time in a crowded New Orleans backfield, visited the Jets on Friday. Sources say the Jets are currently unwilling to surrender the second-round pick (39th overall) that would be required to land Ivory in restricted free agency. Their hope instead is that the Saints would be open to dealing him for a late-round pick in this month’s NFL Draft.
