KSAT 12 is excited to be a part of the Texans Television Network this year and will air three Texans preseason football games for the 2012 season, KSAT 12 Vice-President and General Manager Phil Lane announced.
This season's Houston Texans games will be broadcast throughout Texas on 19 Houston Texans Radio Network affiliates, and a network of 13 television affiliates will televise the team's preseason games throughout the Lone Star State and Southwestern Louisiana.
Texans TV affiliates will carry three of the team's four preseason games this year, beginning with Saturday's game at Carolina at 6 p.m.
Houston's two home preseason games, on Saturday, Aug. 18 vs. San Francisco and Thursday, Aug. 30 vs. Minnesota, will also air on the team's TV network. The Texans' third preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 25 at New Orleans, will be televised live nationally by CBS.
The Texans' regular-season opens on Sunday, Sept. 9 vs. Miami.
Highlighting the television affiliate lineup are a pair of new additions in two of Texas' biggest metropolitan areas. KSAT (ABC Ch. 12) in San Antonio and KVUE (ABC Ch. 24) in Austin both claim the top spot in their respective markets.
KSAT12's "MeTV" network can be seen locally over-the-air on digital channel 12.2, on Time Warner Cable channel 81, GVTC Channel 81, or Grande Channel 271.
