Nowitzki plans to play at least 2 more years
33-year-old power forward hopes for another title
Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki can see the end of the road.
"I'll play for at least two more years," Nowitzki told the Dallas Morning News on Thursday.
The 33-year-old German would admittedly love another NBA championship ring, but has also placed an emphasis on winning his seventh La Gazzetta dello Sport Europlayer of the year award.
Should that come to fruition, Nowitzki would pass former Portland Trail Blazers center Arvydas Sabonis for sole possession for the honor.
Nowitzki has averaged just 16.2 points and 5.9 rebounds this season - which is down from last year's totals (23.0 points and 7.0 rebounds, respectively).
