Jets 3, Rangers 1: Nik Antropov scored for the second straight game and Ondrej Pavelec made 28 saves as host Winnipeg won for the fourth time in five games.
Antti Miettinen recorded his first goal of the season and captain Andrew Ladd added an empty-netter to move the Jets ahead of New York and into sole possession of eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
Captain Ryan Callahan scored the lone goal and Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 30 shots for New York, which suffered its second straight loss in the third stop on its four-game road trip.
Antropov, who halted a 19-game goal-scoring drought in Tuesday's victory over Toronto, put Winnipeg on the board only 12 seconds into a power play at the 1:58 mark of the opening period.
Callahan leveled it for the Rangers 71 seconds into the middle session, deflecting a shot past Pavelec. But the Jets went back in front with just over five minutes left in the period when a shot by defenseman Dustin Byfuglien deflected off Miettinen and past Lundqvist.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Pavelec stopped Rangers RW Marian Gaborik on a penalty shot in the first period, extending Gaborik's slump to one goal in his last 13 games. ... New York will close out its road trip against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday afternoon. ... Byfuglien had a pair of assists as Winnipeg improved to 7-2-1 in the last 10 games.
