HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — Southern Mississippi's Ellis Johnson wears two hats these days: football coach psychiatrist.

The Golden Eagles are the last remaining team in the Football Bowl Subdivision without a victory and Johnson concedes that the team's struggles have progressed way beyond poor football. Now it's in their heads.

Southern Miss (0-10, 0-6 Conference USA) hosts UTEP (2-8, 1-5) on Saturday in a matchup of two teams that have had disappointing seasons. They also have the league's worst two offenses.

Miners' coach Mike Price can relate to Johnson's predicament. UTEP has lost several close games this season, including last week's 31-24 setback to Central Florida.

Just like everyone else, Price has been surprised by the Golden Eagles' awful season. But he's still wary of Saturday's game.
