AT&T Center officials have issued a traffic alert for Thursday night's Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat.
Arena officials are encouraging fans to arrive as early as possible to avoid traffic congestion due to McCollum High School graduation, which is being held at 7 p.m. at the Freeman Coliseum, located next door to the AT&T Center.
To alleviate traffic from the large crowds, NBA Finals attendees are encouraged to access the arena via AT&T Center Parkway located off of I-35, or to utilize Commerce Street to Coca Cola Place as an alternate route.
Fans heading to the arena early can take advantage of WARM UP, the official Spurs pregame party with live music, food trucks and more, at the Bud Light Courtyard. WARM UP starts at 5 p.m.
Doors to the AT&T Center open at 6 p.m. and tip-off for Game 4 is at 8 p.m.
AT&T Center officials have provided the following parking and traffic information for Spurs fans who plan to attend the game:
- If you park in Lots 1, 2 or 3 and are driving from Interstate 35, a suggested route includes AT&T Center Parkway (rather than Walters Street). Stay in the center lane on AT&T Center Parkway and then turn right on Houston Street to access your parking lot.
- If you park in Lots 1, 2 or 3 and are driving from Hwy 281, a suggested route includes Hwy 281 to Commerce. Then, turn left on Coca-Cola Drive toward Houston Street.
- McCollum High School graduates and families will not have access to pre-paid Season Ticket Holder lots. They will park in Lots 8 & 9 and have received alternate traffic routes that will help alleviate congestion with Spurs fans.
- Additional signage and traffic officers will be stationed around area roadways.
