The Yale football coach who resigned for falsely listing on his resume that he was a Rhodes scholarship candidate has landed in west Texas.

Tom Williams was hired as a defensive backfield coach at Texas-El Paso.

He had resigned as head football coach at Yale in December after claiming he was a candidate for the prestigious Rhodes scholarship.

The revelation came to light when Yale quarterback Patrick Witt was announced as a finalist last year.

Williams later admitted he had been advised to apply for a Rhodes scholarship but had never gone through with it.
