SAN ANTONIO – The Valero Alamo Bowl and the Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences agreed Wednesday to a six-year extension.
The extension runs through 2025.

The bowl features the No. 1 teams from the Pac-12 and Big 12 conferences, after the College Football Playoff selections.
2016 will be played on Dec. 29 and marks the 24th consecutive year the game has been played in the Alamodome.
The game is routinely one of the most watched bowl games.
The 2016 bowl game was marked by the biggest comeback in the history of any bowl. When th TCU Horned Frogs came back from a 31-0 deficit to beat the Oregon Ducks in triple overtime, 47-41.
