'Gucci Bowl' headlines opening night of high school football

36th edition of game set for kickoff at 7 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO – High school football is back and it begins with an annual battle between two schools on the city's North Side.

Thursday night, Churchill High School looks to add a seventh win to its streak against Tom C. Clark High School during the 36th annual "Gucci Bowl". 

Last season, Churchill won 27-3 at Farris Stadium.

Kickoff for this year's game is 7 p.m.

Other games being played Thursday include South San versus McCollum at Harlandale Stadium, Holy Cross versus Lanier at Alamo Stadium, and Natalia vs. Schertz John Paul II at Texas Lutheran University.
