The Charlotte Bobcats acquired guards Gary Neal and Luke Ridnour from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for guard Ramon Sessions and forward Jeff Adrien, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.
ESPN.com reported that the Wizards also persuaded the Bucks to absorb the salary of Sessions. Milwaukee balked at a Neal-for-Sessions swap because Sessions is making $5 million this season, compared to Neal's $3.25 million.
The Bobcats are 25-30 and in eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
Neal averaged 10.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per game for the Bucks. He spent three seasons with the San Antonio Spurs before signing this past offseason with the Bucks.
Ridnour, in his 11th NBA season, averaged 5.7 points and 3.4 assists per game.
Sessions averaged 10.5 points and 3.7 assists per game for the Bobcats. Adrien averaged 2.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
