Simone Biles getting used to life back home

SPRING, Texas – Simone Biles is back home in the Houston area and answering all of the questions her fans want to know about.

Saturday morning the Olympic gold medalist held a press conference at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, where she has been treated in the past.

She said the top three things she couldn't wait to do once she returned home from Rio included eating pizza, spending time with her family and spending time with her friends.

She's still getting used to her celeb status, telling reporters she left her Spring home on Friday for the first time, to go to the mall to fix her phone.  She says a security guard had to lead her out of the mall because there were so many fans.

"It's crazy because they freak out and I'm like: ‘Why are you guys freaking out? Who's here?’, but then I realize it's just me!" Biles said.

She said she misses seeing the rest of the Final Five, but it is good to be back at home inspiring others.

"It's good to know that little athletes and kids can look up to me and they can do what I did growing up," Biles said. "I just think it's very special."

One lucky family in the hospital, The Cacchione Family, had a special visit from the Olympian after the press conference.  The family just welcomed a baby girl on August 25.  Biles sat down with the baby's older siblings, taking a selfie with them and even letting them try on her gold medal.

As far as Tokyo 2020, Biles said hopefully she will be competing, but for now she's just looking ahead to her immediate future.

She is set to go on a cross country tour in just a couple of weeks for Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics.  The tour will be in Houston on Sept. 30 at the Toyota Center.
