Stars guard Becky Hammon to retire after 2014 season

Hammon named one of the WNBA's Top 15 Players of All Time in July 2011

SAN ANTONIOSan Antonio Stars guard Beck Hammon will retire following the 2014 WNBA season, the team announced Wednesday.

The 16-year veteran and six-time WNBA All-Star will go out as the Stars' all-time leader in assists, points per game and three-point field goals made.

In eight seasons with the Stars, Hammon has appeared in 213 games, averaging 15.9 points, 5.1 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 31.8 minutes.

Among all WBNA players, past and present, she ranks seventh in total points (5,756), second in three-point field goals made (817), fourth in assists (1,663), sixth in games played (440), first in free-throw percentage (89.6, min. 300 attempts).
