Eileen Gonzales is a diverse journalist, having covered medical news, entertainment, education, politics and breaking news events.

Eileen has interviewed people ranging from area homeless, to Julia Roberts and George W. Bush. She was one of the first reporters on the scene after the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster and helped cover the controversial 2000 presidential election. Eileen also was one of the first reporters allowed on the set of the movie "Alamo." Her most memorable interview was with a spunky 102-year-old woman, who was a huge Texas Longhorn football fan.

Eileen was born and raised in San Antonio. A graduate of Lanier High School, she went to college at Texas State University and received a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

She started her career behind the scenes, working as a production assistant at a TV station in Austin. Her first on-air job was as a reporter in Corpus Christi. After that, it was back to Austin, then Dallas and Los Angeles. She came back to San Antonio to be with family and has enjoyed reuniting with old friends, watching the Spurs and enjoying some of the finest Tex-Mex food in the world!

When she's not working, Eileen enjoys exercising, yoga, meditating, reading, playing guitar, traveling and spending time with her dog. She also enjoys nature, camping and stargazing.
