2 hospitalized in rollover crash in New Braunfels

Pair were airlifted to hospital in stable condition

SAN ANTONIO – Two people are in the hospital following a rollover crash that closed down a roadway in New Braunfels overnight.

The accident occurred around 10:50 p.m. in the 2700 block of FM 1044. 

The New Braunfels Police Department said a red 2005 Ford Sport Track left the road as it was traveling southbound on FM 1044. The vehicle struck a stop sign, a speed limit sign, and then rolled over police said, hitting two unoccupied vehicles that were parked in a driveway.

The fire department was called to assist in getting two people, a 65-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman, out of the vehicle.

Both were airlifted to University Hospital in stable condition.

The roadway has since reopened.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
