3 drivers, child, hospitalized in head-on collision

Accident occurred just before 8 a.m. in 7800 block of Culebra Road

SAN ANTONIO – A three-vehicle accident on the city's Northwest Side sent all three drivers and a six-year-old child to the hospital Thursday morning, San Antonio police said.

The accident occurred just before 8 a.m. in the 7800 block of Culebra Road near Pipers Creek Street, not far from Reed Road.

Police said a red car was heading north on Culebra and went to make a u-turn when it hit two other vehicles traveling in the opposite lanes.

Southbound Culebra was shut down for roughly 30 minutes as police and emergency response crews worked the scene.

All three drivers and a six-year-old passenger in the red car were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
