Dog walker hit by car on city's West Side

Injured woman was not using a crosswalk, police say

SAN ANTONIO – A woman walking her dogs was hit by a car overnight, San Antonio police said Monday.

The accident was reported just before 10 p.m. Sunday on Culebra Road not from from Reed Road, on the city's West Side.

Police said the woman was crossing the street without using a crosswalk, and that's when an oncoming vehicle hit her.

The woman was taken to University Hospital for her injuries following the accident.

Police said the driver will not be charged.

None of the dogs were hurt in the accident.
