Medical examiner ID's victim as Milagro Cabrera, 44

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office on Sunday released the identity of a woman killed in a two-vehicle crash in northeast Bexar County.

The woman was identified as Milagro Cabrera, 44.

Bexar County sheriff's deputies said Cabrera had just turned onto the 7400 block of Walzem Road around 9:15 p.m. Saturday, when a pickup truck driven by Hunter Gage Carver crashed into her car.

Cabrera died at the scene, deputies said.

Carver jumped out of his truck and ran from the crash site, but deputies later caught him at a store in the 7000 block of Walzem Road, officials said.

Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Rosanne Hughes said Carver was arrested.

Hughes said Cabrera's teenage daughter was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
