SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police said an area man that was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle has died, officials said Tuesday.
The accident was reported just after 7 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of Guadalupe Street near the intersection with Zarzamora Street.

According to police the man was not in the crosswalk at the time of the accident and the driver did not see him. The man was taken to University Hospital where he later died, police said.
The name of the victim has yet to be released.
The driver did stop and render aid. He is not expected to face any charges.
