Man killed in motorcycle crash on North Side

Victim, man in his 30s, was thrown from his bike

SAN ANTONIO – A man is dead following a motorcycle crash early Tuesday morning, San Antonio police said.

The accident was reported just after 4 a.m.

Police said the motorcyclist was rear-ended by another vehicle while heading northbound and was thrown off the bike. Officers believe the man killed was in his 30s.

The vehicle involved in the accident did not stop, police said. An investigation is ongoing.

The victim's name has not been released yet pending notification of next of kin.

The highway was closed for a time to early morning traffic but it has since reopened.
