SAN ANTONIO – A man is dead following an overnight motorcycle accident, San Antonio police said Friday.
The accident occurred just after midnight on Loop 410 near Ingram Road, found on the city's Northwest Side.
Police said the man was riding his motorcycle heading east but was going too fast. That's when, police said, the motorcyclist lost control and hit the retaining wall before flying off his bike roughly 20 feet onto Ingram Road.
Police said the rider was wearing a helmet. The man was rushed to University Hospital in critical condition, but later died.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
