Man hit by car crossing South Side street

Driver not facing charges

SAN ANTONIO – A man was sent to the hospital after he was hit by a car as he tried to cross the street late Friday night. 

According to San Antonio police, the accident happened around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Flores Street and Dickson Avenue on the city's South Side. 

Police said the man was crossing the street where there was not a crosswalk. He walked halfway across the road then tried to turn back. That's when a car traveling south on South Flores Street hit him, said police. 

The driver of the car stopped and is not facing any charges. 

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
