Woman killed in wrong-way crash identified

Lisa Sims, 50, died Sunday following head-on collision on West Side

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has released the name of the person killed in a wrong-way crash that sent three people to the hospital on the city's far West Side.

Lisa Sims, 50, died Sunday following an accident late Saturday night near the intersection of West Military Drive and Chinook, found close to SeaWorld.

Police said a compact car was was traveling the wrong way down West Military Drive when the car collided head on with a car going the opposite way. 

A second person was inside the car that was hit and was also taken to the hospital in serious condition, police said. 

The wrong-way driver is presently in stable condition. 

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
