Warm temperatures expected Easter weekend

SAN ANTONIO – While earlier rains near Del Rio have dissipated, isolated showers and storms may refire Thursday afternoon across South Texas.

A mixture of sun and clouds will allow temperatures to rise into the low 80s. By Good Friday, only a slight chance of a stray shower will exist. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies and temperatures near 80 degrees.

As for Easter weekend, a stray shower or storm cannot be ruled out on Saturday, with temperatures reaching into the mid-80s. Humidity levels will be high.

Slightly better chances of showers and storms will kick in by Easter Sunday afternoon. We are not expecting a washout, but a few downpours will be possible. It will be warm and sticky for any Easter egg hunts, with more 80-degree temperatures in the forecast for the area.

It appears that the best chance of showers and storms will arrive Monday as the weather pattern remains active.
