Blood bank in urgent need of donations ahead of Hurricane Harvey

SAN ANTONIO – The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center is in urgent need of donated blood.

"Currently we have less than day supply," South Texas Blood & Tissue Center spokesperson Roger Ruiz said.

Currently local hospitals have notified the blood bank they are receiving an influx of patients and they recommend donors to donate Friday ahead of Hurricane Harvey.
