FORECAST: Warm and very humid conditions will stick around through Tuesday evening, setting the stage for the possibility of storms.

Cloud cover Tuesday has kept temperatures a little cooler than Monday, but there is still a slight chance for isolated thunderstorm development during the late afternoon and evening.

There is a "cap" of very warm air above the surface that is currently inhibiting thunderstorm development. Therefore, it's possible that there will be no storms developing in the afternoon, but any storm that might form will strengthen and become severe quickly.

A much more likely chance for thunderstorms is in the forecast overnight.

Shower and thunderstorm development to the north, along a cold front and dryline, will become a line of storms that should move through South Texas Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. A few storms are possible in the Hill Country by 10 p.m. Tuesday, with the line of storms pushing through San Antonio and Bexar County after midnight.

Sunny with much lower humidity and very warm afternoon temperatures are expected Wednesday afternoon.
