FRIDAY

Lets celebrate San Antonio, we survived another week! But before you head out the door catch up on your day, heck even you week. A prominent SA doctor had his case dismissed. Meanwhile, Tim Duncan's dog has gone missing. That and much more in today's edition of ICYMI.

THURSDAY

The day is over and done with. One more sleep until Friday, but before you snag some shut-eye catch-up on your day. Two teens from Taft H.S. were hit by car. A man has to answer after calling out firefighters to a call with no smoke and no fire, he made the whole thing up. The state lawyers are about to be back in court after a judge ruled the states foster care system unconstitutionally 'broken.' You can check out more headlines for Dec. 17 in today's edition of ICYMI.

WEDNESDAY

We saw a Bexar County grand jury chose not to indict SAPD Officer Robert Encina in the 2014 shooting death of Marquise Jones. We also learned that Roseanne Welch may not face jail time after she was accused of abandoning her newborn baby in a VIA park-and-ride bathroom. Check out other headlines you may have missed in the KSAT In Case You Missed It for Dec. 16.

TUESDAY

The day was headlined by the last GOP presidential debate of the year. Check out KSAT's full online coverage of debate. Earlier in the day, a San Antonio police officer was one of two men injured in a dog attack. The officer was forced to shoot and kill two of the animals. Here is a quick recap if you missed the headlines for Dec. 15.

MONDAY

No case of the Monday's here. Of course people were excited for the return of Blue Bell Ice Cream, it has now returned to most of the Lone Star State. It also seemed as if the Spurs could not miss Monday night against the Jazz, playing a sweet tune of victory. Here is a quick recap if you missed the headlines for Dec. 14, 2015.

-------------------------------------

Plenty of stories raised our eyebrows this past weekend, while others are bringing some closure to family and friends. And you better believe there are more talkers for the week ahead.

Arrest in drag queen death

Police announced charges Sunday in the death of a popular drag queen. Torrance Cheeves was found dead in August. Now, 20-year-old John Terrell Henderson-Houston faces a murder charge. The man was already behind bars when police connected him to the crime. On Monday, SAPD anticipates releasing additional video that could point to other suspects in the case.

#PuroSanAntonio goodness

The Alamo City never stops amazing me. We are a community that continues to step up when called upon. On Saturday volunteers places thousands of wreaths on the graves at Fort Sam Houston. Folks also came out in droves to burn some calories, and donated to children in foster care. And what’s Christmas without Blue Santa? He and his superhero friends paid the children at Methodist and University’s Hospital a visit this weekend.

Get up! Everybody gonna move their feet

Paul Stanley might feel uptight on Saturday night, so he paid a visit to KSAT-12 on Saturday morning. The KISS lead singer talked about his new restaurant and why opening it on the city’s eastside was so special to him.

I blame Biff

It has been a bad week for hoverboards, and there was nothing in Back to the Future that prepared us. The hot gift for the holiday season was banned from Delta. Southwest Airlines followed suit on Saturday. The move comes AFTER the suckers started to randomly catch fire, #WhoopsieDoodles. To boot, a guy in London robbed a store while riding a board. He didn’t even step foot inside.

UT protests, and it is keeping Austin weird

What do you get when you have a mock mass-shooting rally, alongside some open folks, mixed with counter-protestors making farting noises and holding man-shaped phallic objects?

You get another day in the 512, and no I am not making any of it up.

Lone Star sports wrap

Can we just assume Dallas’ playoffs hopes have as much chance as a snowballs chance in H-E-double hockey sticks? The boys in blue lost to the Packers on Sunday and fall to 4-9 on the season. Houston played the New England Patriots on #SNF, sadly not even a hand-casted J.J. Watt could muster up a victory. New England clinched a playoff spot with a 27-6 victory.

College basketball is in full-swing just in time for college football’s slow wind down to early January. And holy cannoli UT Men’s Basketball team! The Longhorns got some major heel-ing powers in their upset win over #3 UNC. Meanwhile, the Spurs once again cooled Hot-lanta on Saturday, with a solid 20+ point victory. That victory comes after the Spurs topped the Lakers at home. Lastly, a huge congrats to the Converse Judson Rockets and Steel Knights, both teams football seasons wrapped up with loses in the state semi-finals.

This week the Spurs play the Jazz on Monday, Wednesday brings the Wizards and on Friday the Clippers. All three games will be played at the AT&T Center.

Looking ahead to the next week

  • Star Wars

It is a pretty big week ahead! It does include the new Star Wars movie, fans I know y'all are more than prepared for its Thursday premiere. I will have to keep it brief because I have never seen a single Star Wars. Besides, Spaceballs is more than enough movie to live a full-and-complete life. Haters, hate away. There is a nice Taylor Swift song you can listen to #ShakeItOff.

  • Blue Bell returns

Alas, Blue Bell returns. I have yet to consume any since it’s return, I guess lethal listeria has a way of tainting ones taste buds. But for those who want to get it on like Donkey Kong, here is all the information you need about where you can buy Blue Bell in the 210!

  • Shape up and ship out

This week begins a whole bunch of shipping of folks trying to get gifts mailed before Christmas. USPS says Tuesday is one of the busiest days of the year, and the last day for Standard Shipping. So K-mart might ship your pants, but y'all are on the hook for everything else.
