David Robinson, son donate shirts to IDEA Schools

Corey said he is happy to help pay it forward

SAN ANTONIO – Students at IDEA Public Schools across the city got some new swag Saturday.

Spurs legend David Robinson and his son, Corey, handed out more than 1,000 shirts to students.

Cory Robinson and fellow Notre Dame athlete Andrew Helmin spoke with the middle schoolers about hard work and dedication.

Corey said he is happy to help pay it forward.

"I just love to give back to the community especially San Antonio where I grew up,” he said. “It's great to be back home and everywhere we go we have a nationwide impact as student athletes and sometimes we just forget how much of an impact we have and it's cool to be able to be positive role models for kids in San Antonio wherever we are an in our local community as well."

The one shirt, one body campaign was created by Robinson and Helmin.
