'I didn't do this'

Luis Antonio Arroyo claims he's innocent, but police think otherwise, and now he's in the slammer in connection with the bloody deaths of two people. Arroyo didn't put up a fight before being arrested. Good choice. After all, a SWAT team was waiting for him outside an apartment complex on the city's Northwest Side.

Bummer Blizzard

South Texans, consider yourselves a lucky bunch. While we enjoyed sunny skies and chilly temps, our friends on the East Coast had no choice but to stay indoors because of a monster snowstorm.

Croc chills out

It was apparently a little too caliente for a crocodile in Florida, so the croc decided to chill out in a swimming pool. I don't believe the homeowners were about to go skinny dipping.

Cam vs Peyton

In case you were hiding under a rock Sunday, the Denver Broncos will take on the Carolina Panthers for that big game that I can't mention by name here (or can I?) because it's copyrighted. But you get the idea.

Lone Star sports wrap

It wasn't a good day for Texas college basketball teams, as they all lost to ranked opponents. The Texas Longhorns couldn't hold onto their halftime lead and lost to the No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks 76-67. The No. 13 Baylor Bears couldn't get their first win over a No. 1 ranked-team losing to Oklahoma 82-72, and Texas Tech lost to No. 6 West Virginia 80-76

Manu Ginobili turned back the clock late Friday night versus the LA Lakers by scoring 20 points to lead the Spurs in a 108-95 victory.

LOOKING AHEAD

Coming up this week, the Spurs play the league-leading Golden State Warriors on Monday night. A win by the boys in silver and black will get them a game closer to taking the Western Conference lead.

The commotion in Iowa is not caused by the big storm, it's because politicians want a good showing at the Iowa Caucus.

And if you're hungry, hang on until Friday and get free food at the annual Cowboy Breakfast.
