SAN ANTONIO – The third annual Head for the Cure 5K is still months away but the planning has already started. The nonprofit is holding a kickoff reception Wednesday from 5:30 - 7 p.m.
It will be at the Bourban Street Restaurant at the Wyndham Garden Hotel located at 103 9th Street. People interested in attending must RSVP to: ashle@headforthecure.org.

The annual 5K will be held Saturday, Sept. 24.
Proceeds go to help Head for the Cure.

The local Head for the Cure 5K is held in honor of KSAT-12’s former news director, Jim Boyle, who passed away from a brain tumor in March 2014.
Last year, there were over 1,500 runners and walkers.
