Local leaders kick off 2017 United Way Community Campaign

Pacesetter Campaign raises $25.5 million

SAN ANTONIO – Local leaders have kicked off the 2017 United Way Community Campaign.

They started by announcing the results of the Pacesetter Campaign. Their goal is $47.5 million and so far they've raised $25.5 million. It’s a good start, the campaign chair said.

The money raised will go to all the different United Way agencies, which provide human and social services to those in need. It will also help hurricane victims.

This year's results are up 4.5 percent from last year. The Pacesetter Campaign ends in December.
