SAN ANTONIO – The community had the opportunity to interact with police and San Antonio Fear Free Environment officers patrolling their neighborhoods.
There was a big turnout Saturday for the Coffee with the Cops event held at McDonald’s on Zarzamora Street.
There was a Halloween carnival and a costume contest in the parking lot. It was a fun environment for people to meet with San Antonio Police Chief William McManus and District 5 Councilwoman Shirley Gonzales.
“We know police can’t arrest problems away. We need people to report crimes when they see them and also have an engaging relationship with SAFFE officers who do the most to patrol the area,” Gonzales said.
There was also free fingerprinting for kids and free vehicle etching at the event.
