We've got lots of great freebies families can take advantage of this weekend

SAN ANTONIO – From food to movies, we’ve got lots of great freebies families can take advantage of this weekend.

The holiday season mean lots of food will be consumed, better yet when it is free. The Tennessee Volunteers won the Outback Bowl Friday, but everyone can get a free bloomin’ onion for free on Saturday. This offer is valid with any purchase while supplies last.

Staying in Friday night, Redbox is offering a free movie Friday only. Simply enter the code ‘NEWYEAR.’

The LEGO Store’s “Monthly Mini Model Build” is just a few days away. The store is hosting the event on Tuesday and Wednesday. Kids will get a chance to learn how to build a mini polar bear and take it home. Quantities are limited and people do have to register ahead of time. Builders must be between the ages of 6 and 14.

If you need something else to do with the kids, Bank of America is offering cardholders free admission to San Antonio museums this weekend as part of their “Museums on Us” program. That includes the Witte Museum, San Antonio Museum of Art, the McNay Art Museum and the DoSeum. If you're traveling out of the city this week, there are 150 participating museums in 31 different states across the country.
