H-E-B expands recall to include Fireside Roasted Nut Butter

Product was only sold in 9 stores

SAN ANTONIO – Fireside Roasted Nut Butter -- sold in nine H-E-B stores -- is now included in a recall on raw shelled pistachios, the company announced Tuesday.

The product might be contaminated with salmonella, according to a news release from the store. No illnesses have been reported.

The nut butter in question has already been pulled from store shelves.

The expansion of the previous recall only affects this particular brand, UPC 27009800000, best by Jan. 1, 2017. This applies to the fresh-ground Fireside Roasted Nut Butter and the prepackaged kind.
