Vandals damage classrooms at Judson ISD elementary school

Spring Meadows Elementary classrooms defaced with water colors, spray paint

SAN ANTONIO – Vandals broke into a Judson Independent School District elementary school over the weekend and defaced some classrooms, authorities said.

District spokesman Steve Linscomb said the vandals used water colors, spray paint, honey and flour to make a huge mess at Spring Meadows Elementary.

Linscomb said the vandals broke into the classrooms through a window Saturday and Sunday night.

District officials are now looking into making changes in security. It was the second time vandals have struck at the school this year.

"We're going to be making some adjustments in terms of security of not only what our police department does, but also the facilities as well," Linscomb said.

The vandals in the first incident were arrested and prosecuted, Linscomb said.

He said he hopes for the same results in this case.
