Design plans for first high-tech high school in SA unveiled

SAN ANTONIO - The design plans for the city’s first high-tech school were unveiled Tuesday.

CAST Tech will be located in the two former vocation building on the Fox Tech High School campus downtown.

The school is the first of its kind and will work hand-in-hand with the local tech industry to train students on coding, gaming, cybersecurity, business entrepreneurship and more.

CAST stands for Centers of Applied Science and Technology. It will be an in-district charter school for the San Antonio Independent School District.

The school will open its doors to its first class of ninth graders this fall.
