Gov. Abbott holds roundtable to get input on ways to improve education access in Texas

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Gov. Greg Abbott was in New Braunfels on Monday, trying to come up with new ideas to improve education across the state of Texas.

The governor held a roundtable at Church Hill Middle School. Educators, administrators and local officials were there to share with the governor what they feel needs to be done.

The governor said one of his top goals is to improve education by investing more in teachers and students.

Abbott is running for re-election this November. His opponent, Lupe Valdez, is in Odessa on a campaign tour.
