SAN ANTONIO – Palo Alto College is hosting its semi-annual Countdown to College event Monday.
The event will run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Palomino Center at 1400 W. Villaret Blvd. It will give prospective students an opportunity to take care of all things enrollment, including:

- Complete applications
- Take placement tests
- Talk to advisers about degree plans
- Register for classes
- Get financial aid information
The City of San Antonio Metropolitan Health District will also be on site providing free bacterial meningitis vaccinations from 12-7 p.m.
The all-day event will also include snacks, games, prizes and activities for children.
Classes for the 16-week fall semester begin Aug. 28. Students must have a completed application in by Aug. 7.
Free parking will be available in student parking lots 1 and 2.
