SAN ANTONIO – It was move-in day Thursday for hundreds of freshmen at the University of the Incarnate Word.
About 325 incoming freshmen and their parents converged on residence halls, towing furniture, TVs, clothing and other must-need items.

"We never got this experience, so this is very exciting to have this opportunity and to get the college experience," said Heather Roemer, a parent.
Students and their families were treated to a picnic in the Friendship Garden.
The students ended their day at a pinning ceremony, where students will receive a special welcome from university administrators, faculty and student leaders.
