Hundreds of Spurs fans who couldn't be at Wednesday night's playoff game were decked out in silver and black at NIOSA.

"Everybody can't be at the game, everyone can't be at Fiesta. We choose to be at NIOSA and started early with the Mavericks. We should hopefully finish then in like 5 or 6 games," said Michael Perez.

Fans kept a close eye on social media and had smartphone apps handy to keep track of the game and the score.

"I got my official Spurs app right here. I'm going to check it through the night," said Ernest Hernandez.

Some fans said they would not take any chances and left NIOSA early to make sure they could catch the game. That included Mayor Julian Castro.

"We'll my secret is that I'm going to be here at NIOSA for about an hour and a half and then sneak back to watch the end of the game. It's really the end that counts," said Mayor Castro.

The Spurs lost Game 2 to the Mavs, but that did not damper spirits at NIOSA Wednesday night.
