Legendary punk rock band Green Day sets SA concert

Green Day scheduled to perform Sept. 9 at AT&T Center

SAN ANTONIO – Legendary punk rock band Green Day has set a San Antonio date for the band’s upcoming "Revolution Radio" summer tour, which kicks off in August.

Green Day is scheduled to perform Sept. 9 at the AT&T Center. The opening act is British based band Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Green Day’s 12th studio album, "Revolution Radio," was released on Oct. 7.

The band has sold more than 85 million records worldwide and has won five Grammy Awards.

Green Day was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.

Tickets for the San Antonio concert go on sale to the general public Friday. VIP packages will be available.
