SAN ANTONIO – The Transportation Security Administration is upping its social media presence, answering questions and showing off some of the weird things people take in their carry-on and checked bags.

A bizarre grenade monster, a "nanner knife," a giant lobster and propane tanks are just the beginning.

“We’ve got nothing against propane and propane accessories, but dang it, Bobby, you can’t pack two propane tanks in your checked bags.” - TSA Instagram post.

The TSA had a record number of firearms discovered in carry-on bags across the nation last month.

The one-week record handguns discovered in carry-ons was broken the week of July 24-31, with 96 firearms.

Of the 96 firearms discovered, 85 were loaded and 26 had a round chambered.

If you’ve ever wondered whether or not you can pack certain items in your baggage, you can now tweet a photo to AskTSA or send a photo to TSA’s Facebook and they’ll let you know if you’re good to go.

Do you have a service duck? No problem.

Here are some of the things people have tried to take or inquired about taking on TSA’s social media accounts.
